Halfaker Awarded VA T4NG Benefit Gateway Services Systems Engineering and Software Development Services

Arlington, VA., August 02, 2017 – Halfaker and Associates, LLC (Halfaker), a technology solutions provider within the Federal Government’s, health, intelligence, defense and security sectors, was awarded the Benefits Gateway Services (BGS) task order under the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation (T4NG) contract vehicle.

Since its inception in 2011, BGS has played a significant role in the modernization of numerous business systems that are transforming how the VA processes disability claims to improve the Veteran experience. Building upon these critical modernization efforts, Halfaker will provide systems and software engineering, web services development, and software release and change management services to improve BGS delivery velocity. The task order has a one-year base period of performance plus four option years and a value of $35 million.

“BGS is a key component of the Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) modernization efforts and will help to ensure that VA can consistently deliver high quality services to our Nation’s Veterans by enabling efficient communication and access to information across VA’s systems and Veteran-facing applications,” said Halfaker Vice President for Operations, Andrew Denniston. “We are honored to support this program and leverage our Agile software development methodology and web services expertise to enhance the BGS framework services and advance the objectives of VBA’s transformation plan.”
