Nuclear Regulatory Commission

The mission of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is to regulate the Nation's civilian use of hazardous and radioactive materials to ensure adequate protection of public health and safety.  Overall, the NRC works on behalf of the security of the United States and serves to protect the environment.
