Department of the Navy

The Department of the Navy’s mission is to protect the United States at sea and in potential war times at sea. Within the Deparmtne of the Navy is the Marine Corps, whose role is the defense of advanced naval bases, support of the forces of all military departments, and to ensure a secure state of freedom throughout the seas.
