Halfaker has an immediate opportunity for a Junior Contracts Acquisition Specialist with contracts closeout expertise to join our talented, dynamic team and support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), by supporting the Contracts Management Office (CMO). The ideal candidate will fully understand how the agency negotiates, executes and administers contracts and modifications thereto for materials and services necessary to conduct DARPA programs and projects. The responsibilities include all contract closeout support required by the CMO and ensuring the successful execution of all assigned Statement of Work tasks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete tasks required for contract closeout within the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) mandated timeframes

Halfaker has an immediate opportunity for a Junior Functional Analyst to join our talented, dynamic team and support the Cargo Systems Program Office (CSPO) of the US Customs & Border Protection Agency (CBP). The Junior Functional Analyst will support our client by assisting the project team in the development of new features and transition existing processing applications. Specifically, the Junior Functional Analyst will be responsible for understanding and analyzing the workflow of the current applications as well as assisting in the development of and testing a new workflow of multi-tiered web-based platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and development of user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements
  • Working with developers and testers to implement a system that meets client requirements
  • Provide technical support and assistance of current and new systems
  • Ability to work closely with client stakeholders
Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience in an IT related field
  • Ability to obtain CBP clearance; or previously obtained DHS clearance (TSA, ICE, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Experience with technical writing and testing

 Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with the HP ALM suite (previously Quality Center) for executing automated test scripts
  • Experience using requirements, testing and defect tracking tools
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, small business environment
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, specifically requirements analysis and test execution
  • Possession of excellent team leadership and development skills
  • Ability to prepare required technical documentation
  • Ability to apply creativity, innovation, and collaboration to daily tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment on a daily basis

Successful candidates must be able to provide technical input to the systems engineering process and lead teams in developing application and technical plans. The Senior Software Engineer must be able to guide customers in the installation and use of strategic products through education and guidance and provide first-use and tuning assistance problem solving and critical situation resolution.

Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline and 10+ years of experience required (10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Experience with Java J2EE,WebLogic/WebSphere, MQ and JMS Messaging, JPA Persistence, Spring Framework, Hibernate (or Mybatis), Rules engine (Drools or JBPM), Oracle (Exadata preferred), Business Objects (preferred)
  • US Citizen and ability to obtain a CBP security clearance
  • Current knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite including GreenHopper (or equivalent), Eclipse, ANT, Jira, JUnit, Subversion, Bamboo, Clover, FishEye, Sprinter, Confluence Wiki
  • Expert developer or architect with significant legacy ACE expertise

Description: 

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our talented, dynamic team supporting our client. The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for supporting our client through the entire agile SDLC process by assisting in the gathering and testing of requirements for new features and transition of legacy applications to an updated application architecture. Specifically, the Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and performing a project test strategy and test scripts, and will be required to gain a basic technical understanding of the project to achieve the greatest possible testing coverage. 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience writing test cases, test plans and execution of test plans.
  • Demonstrate experience writing automated test scripts using tools (UFT/HP-QTP, HP Quality Center, Selenium, ALM etc.).
  • Most have previous experience verifying software quality, metrics and development methodology (Agile, Waterfall etc.).
  • Most have previous experience working in web based technologies (Java/J2EE, JQuery, Java Script, Ajax), application servers (Websphere, Weblogic), queries (SQL) and databases (Oracle, DB2).
  • Prior experience and knowledge of testing within Agile development methodology, processes, and procedures, particularly Scrum, Story-Driven Methodology, Burn-up and Burn-down charts, and Velocity Tracking.
