Halfaker has an immediate opportunity for a Technology Manager at our corporate headquarters to join our talented, dynamic team. The Technology Manager will identify, plan, and manage technology projects to enhance the Halfaker IT infrastructure and respond to day to day technology requests and tickets.  The ideal candidate will manage systems, products, and services of the Halfaker IT infrastructure and lead equipment and access issuance, maintenance, and collection activities to support Halfaker employees. This position has a salary range of $65,000-$70,000 annually.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT infrastructure, providing system monitoring, troubleshooting, and end-user support
  • Provide reliable support with limited supervision and proactively plan and execute projects to increase efficiency and add additional capabilities to the IT infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the CIO to define Technology Department goals and priorities
  • Identify and deploy innovations to improve the competitiveness, in coordination with the CIO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Chief Information Officer (CIO) by managing and enhancing  IT infrastructure
  • Recommend information technology strategies, polices, and procedures to increase capability and efficiency
  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related network infrastructure
  • Responsible for ensuring system availability, performance, and IT security
  • Provide responsive and high-quality customer service and promotes end-user satisfaction through the development, enhancement, and support of  business applications
  • Maintains vendor relationships by monitoring quality of work, resolution of issues and expenditures
  • Reviews, evaluates, and develops proposals for new initiatives as needed
  • Assists in the development and management of the annual IT operating budget
  • Provide 1-on-1 hands-on support to employees who need technical support as needed
  • Repairs and recovers hardware or software failures, while communicating and coordinating with impacted users
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and governance of SharePoint intranet
Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of IT experience, preferably managing and supporting a small business IT infrastructure
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSE are preferred
  • Experience with system administration (Windows server experience preferred) and end user support
  • Excellent communications skills, both orally and written with technical and non-technical users
  • Excellent project planning, project management, and prioritization skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience working with and administrating SharePoint desired
  • Experience working with networking equipment, such as firewalls, switches, routers, and patch panels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft’s office suite, including MS Visio and Project

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 2+ years’ experience administrating SharePoint and other Microsoft on premise and SaaS applications, such as Office 365 and Intune
  • Experience implementing new IT systems and applications to improve efficiency and collaboration at a company level
  • Experience creating, configuring, and managing cloud-based server environments (e.g. Amazon Web Services)
  • Experience administrating Atlassian’s JIRA product
  • Experience with Drupal website administration
  • Strong computer networking and network security skills
  • Ability to plan, manage, and execute multi-month projects
  • Understanding of and experience with Agile development methodologies
