We are seeking an Instructional Technologist to join our talented, dynamic team providing support services to the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) Continuity of Operations (COOP) Program office. COOP is an information technology based command, control and communications (C3) system that provides for informed decision making, status monitoring and communication ability linked to the Army Commands in the event of a situation requiring emergency relocation, such September 11th 2001. The Instructional Technologist operates in three functional areas within the HQDA COOP branch. Within the exercise realm provides liaison between the COOP points of contact (POC) and the Operations Directorate Exercise branch. The training role ranges from teaching COOP 101 or related topics to COOP POCs and senior leadership, to ensuring the Army Watch is proficient in their communication role in COOP execution. The role within COOP operations extends from building and coordinating staff packages, managing the Government Emergency Telephone Service cards, maintaining a viable alert and notification system, fulfilling requests for information from the COOP community, maintaining two web pages, supporting orientations to alternate facilities and developing the agenda and supporting material for COOP working groups.
