Halfaker has an immediate opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer  with expertise in reviewing and auditing management and operations (M&O), security documentations, and policies and procedures to join our talented, dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of the NIST 800-53 security control standards, government security compliance, and security control assessments (SCA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and assist in leading SCAs
  • Work with the client to resolve SCA related issues
  • Interview security personnel to determine if security standards are being followed, and expose any deviations from the security standard
  • Review system security plans, risk assessments, contingency/disaster recovery plans and other security documents for compliance against client specific security standards
  • Review configuration management, change management, vulnerabilirty management processes, incident response documents and procedures, and provide recommendations concerning safeguards of information systems in compliance with applicable standards
  • Request and review remediation evidence to ensure key processes are in compliance, and report on any non-compliance discovered, with recommendations for remediation

Requirements:
