Halfaker is seeking a Junior Business Analyst (BA) to join our talented, dynamic team. The Junior Business Analyst will support the Military Community & Family Policy (MC&FP) office of the Department of Defense (DoD). Specifically, the Junior Business Analyst will provide project management and systems analysis support to activities throughout the software development lifecycle for a suite of websites and web applications supporting community quality of life programs for service members and their families worldwide. 

Business analysis activities include requirements development, decomposition, and analysis.  The Junior Business Analyst will work with the QA and development team to review project plans, requirements, design documents, and delivered software to ensure client expectations are satisfied by the system.  This position requires extensive collaboration with project managers, software architects, software developers, quality assurance testers, and program stakeholders throughout the development process.

Requirements: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the project team to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed
  • Partnering with cross-functional leads responsible for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - providing them with testing schedules, test data, direction, and detailed test scripts
  • Writing and executing test plans and scripts, documentation of test procedures and issues
  • Partnering with the project leads in working through issues/defects and resolution
  • Participate in daily SCRUM Stand-Up meetings
  • Participate in weekly requirements meetings with designated stakeholders
  • Participate in biweekly Sprint Demo, Retro, and Planning meetings
  • Required to work with a remote team on a daily basis across multiple time-zones
  • Follow Program related assignment threads through centralized tasking application
  • See that assignments are completed before the assigned deadline
  • Leverage JIRA and Government System to manage all program tasks and assignments
  • Own User Stories from start to finish including:
    • Create the User Story description and detailed Acceptance Criteria
    • Create or attach supporting documentation, mockups, and examples
    • Clearly communicate the intention and goals to be met of the User Story
    • Review the implementation and test cases of the User Story
    • Verify that all User Story Tasks have been completed before the Sprint ends
  • Support biweekly Production Rollout of applications with completed User Stories
  • Support Program Management Office with quality review sessions, JIRA management and requirements management
  • Support Program Management Office with client deliverables and task delivery dates

Basic Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have senior-level subject matter expertise on terrorist threats and will produce real-time, all-source police intelligence analytical products and reports. The Senior Military Intelligence Analyst will produce classified and unclassified terrorist threat briefing slides, memos, annual threat messages, assessments, and fused products from correspondence with law enforcement professionals, intelligence reports, and trend analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce a wide range of classified and unclassified police intelligence products for global customers
  • Conduct classified and unclassified research and provide police intelligence related analysis of trends as directed
  • Support military-specific intelligence on terrorism indications and warning combined with fusion of law enforcement information into finished products in support of force protection (FP) activities
  • Prepare and present time sensitive police intelligence updates, written and verbal, to senior Army leadership (both civilian and uniformed military), and act as an advisor on terrorism matters

Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of a recognized police intelligence course or a MOS producing or other military intelligence course
  • Must have 6-10+ years of experience in either law enforcement or military intelligence
  • Must have hands on experience with law enforcement or intelligence web portals, databases, and software applications
  • Must have experience presenting threat research analysis in both written and oral briefs
  • Must have proficiency with windows based programs to include the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Shall prepare and present time sensitive products to meet indication and warning requirements for wider dissemination and inclusion into the system that projects the common operating picture

Halfaker has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Recruiter to drive recruiting activities.  The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who will prosper in a fast paced environment. A key marker of success will be the ability to creatively source challenging skill-sets with high level clearances with urgency in mind. The recruiter will manage the recruiting process to include: partnering with hiring managers to write compelling job descriptions, ensuring proper classification and level, sourcing and screening candidates, conducting/coordinating interviews, and working with managers to extend offers, supporting as needed.

Requirements: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Technology, or related discipline.
  • 5 years’ experience recruiting in a government contracting environment may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a technical recruiter, preferably in the IT industry
  • Demonstrated ability to produce a continuous pipeline of candidates with strong technology and management skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to overcome obstacles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box to solve problems for candidates and clients.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Full cycle recruiting experience supporting clients that require high level clearances.
  • Knowledge of EEO, ADA, DOL classifications, and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment.
  • Previous experience with server-based applicant tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated success in a corporate recruiting environment or agency recruiting firm
