A Passion for Caring: Halfaker helps bring alive the magic of the circus through the Easter Seals’ Bright Stars Event

Washington DC — On March 23rd, 2011, a special evening at the circus brought smiles to thousands of faces and helped raise funds for the Easter Seals to provide year round assistance, hope and answers for over 15,000 people with disabilities, including military, veterans, and wounded warriors and their families in the National Capital Region. The evening was made possible by the generosity of sponsors, like Halfaker — a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, who are committed to helping individuals with disabilities live better lives.

The Easter Seals’ Bright Stars event was a night of fun, therapeutic recreation for children with disabilities and military veteran families at an exclusive private performance of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus in the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Due to the current war on terrorism, the Easter Seals organization is helping an increasing number of military families, including wounded warriors returning from service in Iraq and Afghanistan who are regaining their strength and hope as they reintegrate into their families and communities.

For nearly 90 years, Easter Seals has provided exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our communities. From child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities, Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve personal goals.

A strong advocate for Wounded Warriors, Halfaker was proud to donate in support of the Easter Seals organization in their common passion for caring and commitment to helping people with disabilities and their families.
