Jessica Johnson

Jessica Johnson serves as Halfaker’s Director of Human Resources and is responsible for delivering world-class human resource capabilities and leading talent management efforts for the firm by directing all functions of Human Resources. Working alongside the executive leadership team she strives to create competitive advantages, enable growth and deliver maximum business results through the retention and recruitment of quality employees. With over a decade of experience, Jessica brings a dynamic and diverse spectrum of knowledge to the many disciplines that encompass Human Resources. She helps lead strategic business decisions from the Human Resources perspective, drawing on her acumen and background to position Halfaker for continued success and growth.

Jessica has a variety of experiences in spearheading the design and execution of Human Resource strategy. She specializes in developing and leading the transformation of Human Resources into a strategic business partnership, developing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs, and cultivating and applying tactical performance management tools. She also has extensive experience with improving employee relations and developing innovative recruiting programs. Most recently Jessica managed and administered all aspects of the compensation portfolio including programs and policies for DCS Corporation (DCS), a firm with over 800 employees and $160 million in revenue. As a trusted advisor, she helped DCS realize effective cost savings and developed and integrated an effective company-wide incentive and bonus compensation program. As the leading voice for compensation, she worked diligently to improve employee relations and serve as a successful and trusted advisor to her peers.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mary Washington, and has the distinction of receiving certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), as well as being a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
